This tour consists of a visit to the former Jewish settlement of Jodensavanna, located in the jungle on the Suriname river. This historic site was named after the Jewish people who fled here from Europe around 1650 and founded a settlement in this savanna. This fascinating guided tour will include the ruins of the oldest synagogue on the American continent, the old Jewish cemetery, and the centuries’ old medicinal source. You will subsequently travel to Overbridge. There, you will spend approx. three hours on the beautiful riverside beach, where you can swim, walk, and tan.
