The tour is full of adventure and challenge. You will take on various obstacles yourself with the 4×4 vehicle and come to beautiful places where hardly anyone comes. You spend the night in a hammock and go ‘back to basics’. Young or old, man or woman, because of the different aspects in the program, this tour is suitable for anyone who wants to discover Suriname in an adventurous way.

Included: transport from accommodation location to tour starting point vv, guide, accommodation, day 1 lunch and dinner, day 2 breakfast and lunch, coffee, tea, water, soft drinks
Bring your own: (view the luggage checklist for any tips) – protection against the sun: cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, etc. – clean/dry clothing, swimwear, towel – toiletries (urgently needed) – good tied sandals/footwear – valid (international) driver’s license – camera (waterproof case is recommended) – before the tour you can transfer/place the contents of your bag in a waterproof box of 20 liters
Transport
Transport takes place by 4×4 vehicle. The distance from Paramaribo to Jodensavanne and the Cordonpad is approximately 160 km on unpaved roads and 50 km on paved roads.
Stay
You spend the night in a camp in hammocks.
Day 1
At 08:00 you will be picked up from your accommodation location. Just outside the hustle and bustle of Surinamese traffic, you will meet the 4×4 vehicles, travel companions and the guide. The basic off-road driving skills and safety instructions are explained to you so that you become familiar with the adventure that awaits you. After a short break you set off with your travel companions and guide. We make the crossing towards the Jodensavanne. In the afternoon you will find yourself with the vehicle in the savannah. In the savannah you will have the opportunity to try out all facets of off-road driving. With large puddles, mud baths, hills and deep potholes, you and your travel companions take on various obstacles and come up with solutions for challenges that nature presents you. At the end of the afternoon you will prepare the camp together with the guide, enjoy a well-deserved evening meal and prepare for the night in a hammock in the middle of the savannah.
Day 2
The next day, after a hearty breakfast, you will start the adventure again with a savannah trail and a trail through forest and creek. The Cordonpad that this trail partly crosses is a military bridle path from the slave era. The Cordonpad runs between the savannah and the jungle and was seen as the border of freedom. By enjoying the beautiful nature, the exciting adventure and the delicious meals you will not soon forget this trip. After defying all the challenges, we return to civilization where you will be back at your accommodation location at approximately 5:00 PM.
