3 Days Coesewijne Nature Reserve

Are you a nature lover who also loves adventure and likes to roll up his or her sleeves? In that case, join the three-day expedition through the Coesewijne nature reserve. In this unspoilt region, without villages and existing camps, with its wonderfully varied landscape of Amazon jungle, lakes, savannas, and marshes, you will set out to closely observe the many species of animals that live in this protected nature reserve. You will also look for the best spots to set up camp, cook, and spend an exciting night.

Duration: 3 days
Including: transportation by minibus and boat, accommodation, guide, meals, coffee,tea, water, juice and local excursions

Transport
You will depart from Paramaribo by minibus. After a one-hour drive, you will transfer to a boat that will bring you to the Coesewijne nature reserve. Always remain attentive while sailing, as you might very well observe the many species of birds, beautiful butterflies, and maybe even monkeys travelling through the treetops.

Stay
You will stay in jungle camps that you set up yourself, which will be the basis for all activities. You will spend the night in tents or in hammocks. You will use the forest for sanitary matters and the river to bathe. Cooking is done on a small gas stove or on an open fire.

Facilities
You will stay in pure nature without facilities.

Programme
During this tour, of which the programme depends on various factors such as the tides, the weather, and the situation in the jungle, you will proceed on foot and by korjaal in your quest for the most beautiful nature sports in the Coesewijne nature reserve. In doing so, you will attempt to observe the many wild animals (such as monkeys, giant otters, and even jaguars) that reside in this region.
