A diamond in the Courantyne river, Arapahu Island welcomes you to the beautiful and untouched West Suriname. Arapahu is known for the beauty of its fabulous flora and fauna and the numerous activities in which you can take part.

Transport
To get to Arapahu Island, you first fly 1.5 hours (depending on the type of aircraft) from Zorg & Hoop airport in Paramaribo to Amotopo Airstrip in south-west Suriname. Then there will be a walk through the jungle of about 800 metres before being taken by a dug-out canoe to the island, a trip of about 30 minutes.
Stay
You can enjoy your privacy in one of four comfortable lodges for two, four or six people. They are furnished with a bathroom with toilet and a terrace with a tremendous view. A total of 16 people can be accommodated on the island.
Facilities
The open-air main building has a bar, lounge, dining room and a hammock area where you can enjoy a fantastic view in a perfect ambience. The lodge also has clean running water and there is electricity outside (until +/- 10 pm).
The programme/excursions
You can visit impressive waterfalls like the Frederik Willem IV or the King George rapids or go on an adventurous journey, take a cliff walk, spotting animals in the wild, fishing and picnicking on just one of the beautiful beaches are also possibilities. Staying on the island offers you every opportunity to have the time of your life.
